Prototype eBook Cassandra Ormand
Wow... don't know if it was written by a 14 year old boy or possibly someone's twisted idea of what a 14 year old boy might like? Maybe what a woman imagines a 14 year old boy would write if he was writing SciFi? NO idea. But I can guarantee you even a 14 year old boy wouldn't find this kind of stuff entertaining. Crude. Not sexy. Just creepy. In fairness, I barely managed to trudge through the first chapter before I had to put it down. Maybe it gets a lot better later on. For sure it could hardly get worse. I'll never know.Tags : Prototype - Kindle edition by Cassandra Ormand. Download it once and read it on your Kindle device, PC, phones or tablets. Prototype eBook Cassandra Ormand Reviews
I've read many of Cassandra's novels and find this as interesting and intriguing as all her other books. Her style and flow of the story line never disappoints me. Great story. I highly recommend this and look forward to future books by Cassandra Ormand.Prototype (Romantic Intrigue)
First for the disclaimers, I received this book as a gift by the author. I promised her a review but also told her it would be truthful.
When I asked if the book was about androids and robots, she said yes, but with a twist. I'm a little sad to say I figured out the twist way before it happened. Anyway, it does not take away from the story at all, and it isn't the only twist you'll find (and no, I had not figured the others out). This book made me read it all to find out what would happen next..
This is a science fiction thriller-romance, and does a really good work in all those areas. There's emotion and technology discussion, Sex and violence are also part of it, but they serve as a means to drive the story forward, so they don't seem forced. for example, even when we see some character explode in anger, it's justified by fears and situation. So even if we don't agree with the action itself, it's understandable.
It's well written, well paced, and fun to read. It's not perfect, but that's to be expected from a prototype.
Well-balanced between suspension, sci-fi, erotic and action. For me it's a good sci-fi story.
While a little silly at times, this was a fun read. Don't look for any surprise twists, the ending is very predictable, but then the idea itself is interesting enough to make this worth the price.
This book left me with a feeling that it was not really as complete as I would have liked. There was no real explanation for why the antagonist was trying to kill the president. The conclusion didn't match well with the initial start and the real situations.
Angelique Hunter is a programmer at a robotics company when she uncovers a plot to kill the president and blame the crime on her! She spends the remainder of the book trying to prevent the crime while trying to keep herself alive.
As another reviewer pointed out, this was a hard book to categorize. The action starts in the first chapter, and only stops long enough for you to catch your breath before starting up again. The romantic story was well written, but the Hero isn't introduced until well into the book. The romantic scenes were steamy, but didn't go into as much detail as some romance novels which should appeal to the sci-fi fans out there. The heroine, Angelique, is strong, smart and beautiful, a powerful combination, and quite refreshing from all the romance books out there where the heroine turns weak and helpless as soon as she meets her man.
