This was one of my most anticipated books of this year because I absolutely loved R.C Lewis's Stitching Snow and I can't help but compare the two. Unfortunately this book fell short of me loving it. I loved the relationship between Liddi and her brothers but my main problem was the crazy amount of tech/sciency explanations. My grasp on scifi is a little slippery and this book is one long celebration of technology, chemistry, physics and space.

I enjoyed this uniquely written book by R.C. Lewis.
This is fun, original science fiction. I enjoyed this as much as Stitching Snow. It is a different world but just as fun.
Great for fans of Lunar Chronicles
I really enjoyed this novel. Lewis has a way of drawing you into the story and making you experience right along with the characters. If you enjoy a fresh take of YA science fiction, offering hope instead of despair, this is the book for you. Read my full review at MySF Reviews.
These days Science-Fiction is full of pretenders. R.C. Lewis is NOT one of those. Her understanding of tech-speak, logic, world-building, etc. is not only spot on, but flows without grinding her stories to a halt or making her work inaccessible for those who aren't into that kind of thing. Her characters jump off the page and her fairy tale adaptations work for someone like me who didn't really know the source material.
