Not entirely sure what I make out of the book. On the one hand it is short, the story is nowhere near finished (there is no overall plot yet*) relatively expensive and the writing style feels a bit awkward. The author did not make it easy on himself by writing a present time first person point of view story (with the occasional side step to secondary characters) and at times he is a bit overly descriptive. Some of the events also make no sense from a game design perspective. The protagonist's stubborn acceptance of what is for all intents and purpose extremely bad game design makes sense, but there is no hint on why the designers of the game would accept it*. On the other, the story did hook me. The game is intriguing and well interwoven through the story and I did want to read part 2 (and future parts).* Part 2 suggests a bigger intriguing plot that goes beyond the game and which also explains some of the things in the game that go against every game design rule. I feel that Volume 1 and Volume 2 should have been published as one book, or at least part of Volume 2 should have been in Volume 1. It is certainly that aspect that makes me buy volume 3.

End Online Volume 1 2nd Edition edition by D Wolfin John David Kudrick Romance eBooks Reviews
I love the litrpg books by Rus so I gave this one a shot. I enjoyed this book, but it could have been abit more detailed. It was horribly short as well. I'm hoping that it was just to get the authors foot in the door, now he can give us a full book with abit more detail. I mean don't go Robert Jordan, but a tad more in depth.
This book starts off with a pretty good story about a normal person and his life before a life changing accident. This book is a litrpg set in a really cool universe which has loads of potential. The main characters stats aren't a burden, and help to give a feel of progress. Not much in this book, but later in the series, there comes more romance and even a little nudity that doesn't contribute to the plot. Not much, but if you aren't into litrpgs with this, then you might want to not start this cause if you are like me, you'll get hooked into the story. I read the currently available five books in two days, which goes to show how addicting it is. Overall, this book series is pretty good and I have so far enjoyed most of it.
This book is so much fun - although it took me a while to get past the 'present-perfect' tense and very squiggly usage of vocabulary.
If you play MMO's, (such as World of Warcraft), and are disillusioned with the real world, then this book is a great bedtime story.
I am now reading Volume 3 of this series, and find this author has considerably improved the emotional word flow, and even created some new words of his own to describe in-game items and monsters.
Despite the fact D. Wolfin is stuck in a 'present-perfect chronic hysteresis' (if you are a Dr Who fan, this will resonate), I am walking (née Running!) through the woods with 'Lost' and cannot wait to see what comes next!
I have been looking around for another litrpg good book while waiting on D. Rus' translated book 4 of alterworld to come out. Since that is not due out till summer, I was glad to find another good litrpg book that hs the character fully immersed into a virtual world that is not ... quite... going the way the developers intended. The author does work to make sure mmorpg and non online players can follow what his character does. The idea of using a online world to make real money is also someting that has been out there but fun to see how the written character manage. If you like Alterworld, you may like this series also.
All the other reviews have spelled out what this book and the next in line are, so I won't beat that horse any more than it already has been. I would likely have given this 4.5 stars if it were an option because of the price/page count ratio. It is a bit pricey for an ebook under 200 pages. I would say that it is definitely worth every penny.
Love the story.
Great MC, and supporting characters.
I really enjoy the work being put into the world, skills, and mechanics of the game.
I'm also impressed with how well it's written for a self published ebook. Most are absolute grammar disasters... This is reasonable to read, though a few minor problems.
A good start to a series. I had a little trouble adapting to the authors writing style, it was difficult to follow at some points, but after 20 or 30 pages I did not notice it so much. The books main problem is its abruptness. the main character picks up something and then walks away with no further thought. he outlines a plan and we see it, but does not really ever take the next step toward realizing this goal. I think the story would be much better with some more fleshing out, in both the real world events and the online interactions. I also felt the price point was a little steep for the content.
I have already bought but not started the second book for the series. I am hoping that things will pick up a bit with it.
As MMO stories go, this one is entertaining. The reason for three stars and not more is the length. In the second book (and yes I have all the currently published ones) the author explains that this is how he prefers to operate with a set price and a more or less fixed length. He writes a good story, but it does make his work expensive to read, equivalent to David Drake, John Ringo, and other very well established authors. It also means that the end of the book may or may not end at a reasonable spot. The second book just kind of stops. The feeling I had was that he had reached the number of words he wanted in the book so just cut it off.
If you like this kind of story, then these will be good as long as you recognize the issues going in.
